Robert H. Gaughen, Jr., President & CEO, brings 30 years of experience in community bank lending and law practice to the position of CEO. A graduate of Georgetown University and Suffolk University Law School, Mr. Gaughen served as President and CEO of the East Weymouth Savings Bank from 1981 to 1988. He has served as president of Hingham Institution for Savings since 1993. Mr. Gaughen has substantial experience in both commercial and residential real estate lending. He has served as a Director of the Savings Bank Association of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Bankers Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association. |

Deborah J. Jackson, Senior Vice President & Treasurer, Ms. Jackson manages both the Finance and Information Technology departments of the Bank. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Bentley College and an MBA from Suffolk University. She has served as an Accounting Manager in the mutual fund division of State Street Bank and as controller at Sterling Bank. She has served as Chief Financial Officer at HIFS since 1994. |

William M. Donovan, Jr.,Vice President/Administration, is responsible for the coordination of Personnel, Marketing, Investor Relations, Purchasing and Bank Facilities. He previously served as the Bank's Accounting Officer when he joined HIFS in 1990. He began his banking career with The Boston Five Cent Savings Bank in 1974, serving as Accounting Officer and subsequently joined East Weymouth Savings Bank in 1985 with responsibilities for the Accounting and Property Management functions. Mr. Donovan holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration. |

Peter R. Smollett, Vice President Commercial Lending, joined HIFS in 1993. His responsibilities include developing commercial real estate loan products to serve the communities of Eastern Massachusetts. He began his banking career with Braintree Savings Bank in 1970 and has been affiliated as a lender with BayBanks, US Trust, Bank of New England and Banc One. |

Shawn T. Sullivan, Vice President Commercial Lending, joined HIFS in 1996. He is responsible for developing new commercial and investment property loans and enhancing the Bank's outreach efforts in our community. Mr. Sullivan began his banking career with US Trust in 1985. He has also served as a Vice President within Fleet Bank's Commercial Real Estate division and as a Mortgage Officer with Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency. Mr. Sullivan holds a BS in Business Management from Providence College. |

William G. Bowers, Jr., Vice President Commercial Lending, is responsible for the production of commercial real estate loans throughout the South Shore and Eastern Massachusetts. He most recently served as Assistant Vice President of Retail Lending at the Bank and brings more than 18 years of banking and real estate lending experience to his position. Prior to joining HIFS in 2001, Mr. Bowers served as Loan Officer at Mt. Washington Cooperative Bank. He is actively involved in several South Shore organizations and holds memberships to several area Chambers of Commerce. |

Michael J. Sinclair, Vice President Retail Lending, joined HIFS in 1995. He coordinates and manages the residential mortgage and consumer lending activities of the bank. Mr. Sinclair brings more than 20 years of mortgage banking experience to HIFS. He began his career in 1981 with Quincy Savings Bank serving as Assistant Vice President/Secondary Market. In 1994, he joined Abington Savings Bank as Vice President in the mortgage lending area. Mr Sinclair holds a graduate degree from the National School of Banking, and an MBA in Banking from Fairfield University. |

Thomas I. Chew, Vice President Branch Operations, joined HIFS in 2000 and is responsible for the Bank's branches, ATM, deposit products and oversees the deposit operations center. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Northeastern University and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Mr Chew has more than thirty years of banking experience and has held several senior management positions. He began his career at Plymouth Home National Bank in Brockton and most recently was Vice President of Retail Administration at Eastern Bank. |

Edward P. Zec, Vice President, joined the staff of Hingham Savings in 1985 as Manager of the South Hingham Office. Mr. Zec has more than 40 years of savings bank experience and is well versed in all aspects of retail banking. Recently retired from his position as Vice President, Branch Operations, Mr. Zec remains with the bank on a part-time basis using his years of experience in several areas including training and compliance. |
