Nantucket Education Trust (NET) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities of the Nantucket Public Schools through public and private support. NET’s contributions have supported classroom projects, provided educational grants, and enhanced new academic initiatives. A new “Journey Across the Sound” program takes high school sophomores off-island allowing them to observe, first-hand, the various educational offerings beyond high school including trade schools, two and four year colleges, and tech schools.
NET came to Hingham in 2020 for a commercial loan to aid in their mission of providing affordable housing for school personnel. NET was impressed with Hingham’s competitive terms and personalized service throughout the loan process. NET also relies on members of the Nantucket branch and the Bank’s digital team and has felt highly supported with each interaction.
